The Desert sucks! What's the Mountain like?

So I'm on deployment right now in the desert... lame, I know. I haven't even been able to ride at all this season and it looks like I won't be able to until next season starts. Anyway what were the conditions like so far? Powder days, slush, crap, ect. What was the perfect day for you so far? Also any good spots for next season when I get back to the states?

By the way... I heard you can ride on sand dunes?! I should try it.

I've seen people ski and ride the dunes, at least you can wear shorts! In Spokane we got off to a great start, with a huge powder dump. But it warmed up some and re-froze so we're riding on crunch. I think I'd prefer sand! Good luck over there!
